This is a heartfelt article whose central point applies to all forms of media, not just the specific show being discussed. I enjoyed it very much and think it’s an important read for anyone trying to create inclusive entertainment of any kind.
I heartily agree, and the article is definitely worth a read. I know I don’t reblog often, but this is pretty relevant, cause it talks a lot about the role we play in all this crazy, pony business.

I Fight For The Music
Had a lot of fun working on this :)
Very loose and sloppy but I LOVE working with color, and the color scheme of tron uprising (The Cartoon) is so much fun to play with (Which is a really good show btw I highly recommend it.)
I’ll probably do more things like this in the future, helps keep things fresh.
Did You Finish Those Errands?
Trying to get back into the swing of things >3>
Also I rather liked this character :)
Moment of Reflection
2013…. *sigh* What can I say? It’s been an interesting year.
In this year I’ve been half way around the world, graduated from my old school and attending a new one (for more focused study), started doing commissions, sold my own work at a convention, found out that panic attacks and anxiety were VERY real and VERY scary, got to be a part of a group art project, and to top it off I’m wrapping up my very first comic for a print magazine.
The year always feels like it goes by really fast, but stopping to reflect, it reminds me that a lot happened too. A lot always happens, it’s just hard to remember all of it.
I wonder how many hours I spend simply sitting in one spot, starting at a bright screen and scribbling with a piece of plastic on top of another piece of plastic. To the outside viewer the artist’s life appears to be a lonely one, and sometimes it is. The other times though you’re sharing the fruit of your creative output with millions of others online waiting to see what they say about it.
I’ve reached a point where I’ve stopped thinking of my art as a something I simply work to get better at technical wise (though that’s something I’ll always be working at) and starting treating it like something I want to shape into my own look and feel. My own style. I feel I’ve taken a lot of steps with my work, but at the same time I can look up and see just how many more steps I have left to climb. It’s the Great Wall of China all over again.
Last year I faced this year expecting the great and glory, only to face my limits and biggest fears. It’s had it’s share of ups and downs, but I’ve learned a lot about myself in the process. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
For the new year I want to continue developing my art to have more gravity. I want to draw and write more stories. I want to do more sfw stuff. Maybe make more friends? And I’d also like to ask less random people to feel my pulse to see if it stopped. That last one especially.
So yeah, I’m looking forward to 2014. Let’s see what you have in store.
Looking forward to 2014
It’s not much, but I wanted to do something for you guys before the year was over :)
Where ever you are, what ever you’re doing.
I just hope you’re all having a good holiday :)
I know I haven’t posted a lot of work this month, but there’s stuff going on behind the scenes for you guys :V
2013 has been an interesting year, which I may post my thoughts on later, but in the meantime-
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
